revenue for weeks or even months.<\/p><p>This loss of profit is usually not insured via marine hull insurance, but can be insured via separate loss of hire or trade disruption insurance (TDI).<\/p><p>Loss of hire insurance compensates for the loss of revenue a shipowner suffers due to loss of the use of his ship in the event of a claim, , for example in a dry-dock period because of damage-related repairs.\n<br><br>\nThis financial risk can be covered for the most part with a customized loss of hire insurance, which provides the agreed daily indemnification sum for the agreed
